Shannon Finch

Kayak Instructor

Shannon Finch is a whitewater kayak instructor with Rios to Rivers’ Paddle Tribal Waters program, bringing more than 20 years of experience teaching on moving water to her work with students. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management with an emphasis in Outdoor Leadership, and her instructional approach reflects both that academic grounding and a deep, lifelong passion for sharing knowledge and experience in the outdoors.

During the winter months, Shannon extends her guiding practice to backcountry ski terrain in Utah and Alaska. She is also a certified EMT, underscoring her commitment to participant safety and sound judgment in remote environments.
